Maegan Messick has always had a heart for children so owning and operating a daycare is a dream come true! She has worked in many different child care centers, her first being when she was a senior in High school where she found her true love for childcare. Over the years, she has expanded her knowledge and experiences in the workforce, specifically in the healthcare field. For many years she was a manager at one of her family’s assisted living facilities. Maegan believes that in order to effectively manage a company, you must work your way up and learn all aspects of the business. So that’s what she did, working as a cook, nurses aid and activities director before accepting a managers position. This same vision has carried her through her childcare profession as well where she has worked as a teachers aide, lead teacher, and a cook!

 

Maegan is very independent as can be seen when she left Texas for Colorado, determined to find her own way. It was there that she began a career in Hospice where she acquired many different skills! Hospice taught Maegan compassion for people making life-altering decisions. She helped families determine the right direction to take in that moment of their lives. It was during her Time in Colorado, that her life long dream of being a mother would finally come true! Natalie and Chance, who are 21 months apart, we’re welcomed into the family by the miracle of adoption through the hands of God. They are a joyful addition to all!

 

All of these experiences have shaped Maegan into the caring& compassionate person that she is today. They have given her the foundation that she needs in order to provide a safe and loving environment that promotes many educational opportunities for the children of Tiny Tots U Learning Academy!
